I was watching Iron Chef Japan on Fine Living Network, and I was thinking, Which chef was the best. to me. Iron Chef Japan, is the quintessential cooking show in Japan. Where the Kongs of the cooking worlds come together and battle it out over a specific ingredient. Apart from its American Cousin, the chefs have to complete all courses w/in the 1 hour time period. They have to plate for all Judges, not just one plate, all plates for all judges. Pretty damn amazing. I used to watch these show in its hey day 15 years ago (1993-1999, and 2001 special ) when it was live on television, in the original Japanese. That was Way Awesome. The show now on Fine Living Network is Dubbed in English, and it is quite annoying. They should have saved some money, and went with sub-titles. It makes for better television, because now the TV home Audience has to read.

The American Version of the show is quite Lame. The Chairman is said to be the Nephew of the original Chairman in Japan, but I really don’t think that Mark Dacascos is related to Chairman Takeshi Kaga in any way. The guy played Crying Freeman for geez sake. (not that crying freeman is bad, I am actually a big fan the Whole Crying Freeman Series). I can say the over zealous Alton Brown as the Announcer is quite funny at times though. but their ways of doing things is not all great at times. noting like the original.

Here are some pics of the Iron Chefs in Japan

so its been a real long time i went and watched a movie in an actual theatre. but today, I convinced the wife to come along with me and check out the movie. Very awesome, I highly recommend for any comic book fan, science fiction fan, to go and see this. and if you are not into comics. the action alone is pretty awesome to keep you going. the only slow part was the drunken singing scene. and yes it totally was funny. close to home i say.

Selma Blair was way Sexy in this movie, always a hottie. Ever since seeing her kiss Sarah Michelle Geller as Cecile Caldwell in Cruel Intentions, and as one of the antagonists in Legally Blond, there’s just something about her in general that is so attractive.

Plus Ron Perlman was way awesome. I can’t say since the last time i saw him in Blade2 as one of the baddies, as the beast in the beauty and the beast stories, and the friendly giant in the city of lost children (a flowerpoop all time favorite) was his role so cool. he was comedic, and just all around super cool. I heard it took like over 3 1/2 hours just to do him w/o the shirt.

quote from Los angleles times. By Allyssa Lee

Of course, Elizalde had the task of transforming actor Ron Perlman into the devilish Hellboy. After applying a barrier cream to make it easier to remove the elaborate makeup, Elizalde would then glue on the various prosthetic pieces — including a skullcap, a face piece and lower-lip appliance — with surgical adhesive and attach the samurai-style wig, sideburns and goatee. Then came the paint.

“Around his eyes it’s a water-based makeup stuff called Aquacolor,” Elizalde says. “It’s nice and silky-smooth, and you can get it off at the end of the day.”

For the rest of Hellboy’s body, Elizalde used a product his company mixes itself, a paste made with acrylic colors, surgical adhesive and thickening agent, which they call Bondo, “because it’s similar to what auto body shops use for their cars.” All in all, “it took us probably two hours to get him into the makeup and torso. In those scenes where he’s not wearing a shirt, it took us about 3 1/2 hours.”

Definitely I had a great time, and i would recommend this to anyone wanting to have a good time.

here are a few wall papers i found across the net.

here is the video to the first movie by breaking benjamin.

and the official movie trailer., make sure you have a good connection. its about 10 min long.
